The Vintage ( Circa.1964 ) Framed Original Expressionist Ink and Graphite Sketch Drawing on Paper "Study of Bill Russell", Signed and Dated By Artist Noel Rockmore ( American, 1928-1995 ) in Lower Right. It Depicts A Jazz Musician Bill Russell Sitting in A Chair in Front of the Window, Gazing Out the Buildings in the Distance, and Falling into Meditation. The plain and Smooth Sketch Lines, Contrasting with Light and Dark, Accurately Depict the Morphological Characteristics and Expression of the Figure, and Also Create A Spatial Relationship Between Indoor and Outdoor. Few Small Sketches and Notes in the Upper Right. The Drawing in Good Condition Shows Toning, Foxing, and Some Wear on the Frame Consistent with Age.
